Accountability Group
We are here to hype you up, encourage you, inspire you and motivate you every day on this journey
WELCOME
Welcome to the TCGF Accountability Group. A place where you can be you, and take steps towards a healthier lifestyle. This group was started for you and me. Although I’ve been on this journey for a few years now, I need accountability too.
We all have days where we are not motivated, days where we’ve eaten unhealthy, days that turn into weeks where we don’t move our bodies and days where we step on the scale and the number has gone in the wrong direction.
This group is about the journey, to accept that there will be ups and downs, but yet we still get up and keep going.
Our goal is to be consistent, to become more disciplined and to build healthy habits. I’m glad that you are here and we will encourage and inspire one another to keep going everyday!
Our Mission
Our mission is to build permanent, healthy habits through daily practice, to increase our fitness level and lose weight by committing to regular activity and monitoring our food intake, and to maintain any weight lost all the while ensuring that this journey is a happy and healthy one by celebrating every step we take as we take them.
This group is new and we will continue to modify how the group interacts with each other as we get to know each other and our needs. As with anything new, we ask for your patience but also your feedback to help us create the perfect space for you to feel comfortable and share your journey.
Rules:
This is a safe space. Refrain from any disorderly conduct, such as mean comments, profanity and things that would be deemed inappropriate. We are all here to achieve personal goals, and the space is provided to feel comfortable sharing and getting feedback from those on a similar journey.
Facebook Private Group - Daily Chat and Check-ins:
The chat will be used for daily updates, such as progress reports, recipes, celebrations, check-in for daily movement, to encourage and support others in the group. We want you to use this feature to keep yourself accountable and inspire others as well.

Weekly Meetings:
Each week there will be a zoom meeting which will consist of accountability feedback, Goal setting, guest speakers, and more. These meetings are not mandatory and you don’t not have to share your screen if you don’t feel comfortable. The meetings will be moderated and guests will be muted to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to speak and ask questions.
Live Meetings will be hosted on every Monday at 4pm PST and Every Saturday at 8am
(we are offering two different times to ensure that everyone can attend one of the meetings)

Questions via email:
We want to encourage questions, during this journey that will be answered on a weekly basis. These questions can be about workouts, food, mental health or whatever your heart desires. Personal questions will be kept personal and if the question is something that we believe would benefit the group, we will ask if we can use your questions to address the group, but keep your identity confidential so everyone can benefit from the answer.
All questions can be sent to ThisCurvyGirlsLife@gmail.com
Nutrition Guidance:
Food and nutrition look different for everyone, so we have curated a sample meal plan, and grocery list for you. Please email ThisCurvyGirlsLife@gmail.com to receive the sample meal plan and grocery list.

S.M.A.R.T Goals
A must for your accountability journey…
Create S.M.A.R.T. Goals -
Specific, Measurable, Action-Oriented, Realistic and Time Frame
Specific - What is your start date? What are you specifically focusing on? How will you accomplish this?
Measurable - How often will you do this? What are you tracking and how will you track it?
Action Oriented - What behavior are you changing? It is best to focus on changing physical behavior instead of emotional thoughts or feelings.
Realistic - Can you really complete this goal? Or are you setting yourself up for failure? Try setting small goals that lead to a bigger goal. This is a more positive way to track progress.
Time-framed - How long will it take you to reach your goal? Is this a lifestyle you are committing to or a temporary goal?
Smart goal example:
Simply stating “I want to lose weight” is too broad. An example of a good smart goal is: “I will go on a walk on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays around my neighborhood for 20 minutes in order to lose 3 lbs by April 25th.”

“Don’t wait until you’ve reached your goal to be proud of yourself.
Be proud of every step you take toward reaching that goal .”
