Resetting My Life: Becoming Her Episode 11
Hey Beautiful People,
Sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves isn’t starting completely over — it’s hitting reset. ✨
In this week’s episode of Becoming Her, I leaned fully into the idea of resetting my life, my space, and my routines. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been learning that progress isn’t always about chasing perfection. Sometimes it’s about recognizing when you need to pause, regroup, and reset.
Resetting Through Movement
My week started with simple workouts — from step sessions to full-body strength training. Not every workout went perfectly (hello, the day I only made it through stretching 😅), but that’s the beauty of this reset season. It’s not about checking off boxes — it’s about consistently showing up for myself. Even on the days I couldn’t give 100%, I reminded myself that effort still matters.
Resetting My Mindset at Work
Work was busy (as always), but I made time for mental resets throughout the day. Journaling during my breaks, taking walks around the courtyard, and even something as simple as keeping my to-do list in order helped me create little moments of peace.
These pauses reminded me that God calls us to rest and recharge — not just push nonstop. (Matthew 11:28 is my anchor here: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”)
Resetting My Space
One of the biggest highlights of the week was a full bedroom reset. I reorganized shelves, cleaned my counters, added candles, and gave my space a whole new vibe. There’s something powerful about cleaning your environment — it feels like cleaning your spirit, too.
Resetting Balance with Food
This was also a week full of dinners and food adventures — from Sweetgreen salads to Mastro’s with my HR team, Kicking Crab with friends, and even dessert at Somi Somi. And you know what? I embraced it.
In the past, food-centered outings would throw me completely off track. But this week, I allowed myself to enjoy these moments without guilt. Because a reset isn’t about restriction — it’s about balance.
A Reset in Perspective
For the first time in weeks, I felt more like myself. I chose not to step on the scale because I didn’t want a number to take away from the progress I felt in my spirit. This reset wasn’t about pounds lost — it was about peace gained.
Resetting isn’t glamorous. It’s workouts cut short, messy counters that need scrubbing, and busy days where you choose to journal instead of scroll. But little by little, those resets add up.
If you’re in a season where you feel like you’ve “fallen off,” I want to remind you: you don’t have to start over. You just need to hit reset. 🖤
